Director of Nuclear Ops

This role serves as the operational lead for nuclear plants and is responsible for ensuring goals are met (safety, financial, operational and customer) while developing and maintaining a strong and positive customer relationship with key stakeholders. Develops deep understanding of client's operations and needs (current and future) and finds ways to leverage ECM's capabilities to meet them while expanding the volume and/or types of services provided.

Individual will be responsible for the following:

1.Provides operational leadership to ensure that we meet/exceed safety, financial, operational, customer goals.

2.In partnership with Fleet Director, develops and maintains strong and positive relationships with key stakeholders. Achieves "growth on existing" goals by expanding the volume and types of services D&Z provides.

3.Effectively works through others to achieve results by creating/managing a high performing team, effectively communicating expectations and providing adequate oversight. Coaches, monitors and holds staff accountable to consistently achieve results.

4.Champion for organization's commitment to safety and to D&Z's values. Ensures that awareness and compliance with all company policies and procedures.

5.Effectively works with functional areas to achieve shared goals, problem solve conflicts and establish/promote best practices.

6.Provides leadership to ensure all HR related business processes are effectively administered, i.e. talent acquisition and development, performance mgmt., compensation management, etc.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

1. Technical/Industry Expertise- Demonstrated background in maintenance and/or construction management within the Nuclear Industry; experience does not necessarily need to be with an M&M contractor, although highly preferred;

2. Strong knowledge and experience in project management and project controls, preferably at the field or site level.

3. Operations Savvy- Action oriented; can be counted on to consistently to exceed goals; bottom-line oriented; clearly assigns responsibility for tasks and decisions; pushes others for results and holds them accountable; works through others to achieve results; maintains big-picture view of key projects and initiatives without getting lost in the details.

4. Business/Financial Acumen- Understands how the business works including drivers of cost and revenue; able to understand and work with key financial measurements to analyze the business; able to develop actions to correct financial performance; knows the marketplace and understands how business strategies and tactics impact marketplace perception.

5. Builds Strategic Client Relationships- Develops and sustains effective long-term business relationships with people, especially at senior levels (internally and externally) to create value and influence customer buying patterns and increase sales revenue growth and market share.

6. Communicates with Impact- Clearly and consistently gets information across in a timely and effective manner both verbally and in writing. Demonstrates the ability to influence people and get them to take appropriate action in job related circumstances.

7. Approach to Talent- Is a good judge of talent; hires the best people available from inside or outside; is not afraid of selecting strong people; can accurately assess strengths and weaknesses; provides accurate and timely feedback; actively engages in coaching and developing others; provides opportunities for people to develop.

Minimum Education and Experience:

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management or a related field preferred.

Minimum of an Associate's degree in a relevant field or the completion of a journeyman program required and/or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Certification in PMP preferred
